| Yep.. I know.. WOW!! It's been 7 months since I posted something on here. That's way too long it became unexcusable to me!!! But anyway, I'll move on to updating you on what I've been up to! I'm just glad I DID type down my Florida vacation. Now.. What have I been up to?!! LOL
There was this one house that had been abandoned for what it seemed like several years, then sometime last year we saw that the property was completely cleaned up. We were like hm.. someone lives there now. few months later... They put a jeep cherokee for sale out front, we kept passing it then one day we decided to stop and ask and to negotiate a deal. Little did we know that the people who owned the jeep would change our lives forever! The guy, Richie, became Dwayne's best friend. They've been together and have seen each other every single day, not missing a day! Unfortunately that had to come to an end. Richie and his family moved back to Virginia. They talked about moving back to New York in a couple of years, and I hope they really will. The reason why they had to move back to VA is for family reasons. We miss them terribly. Dwayne and I helped drive Dwayne's truck and I drove Richie's truck down to Virginia, Richie drove the Rental moving truck, and Heather drove the Bronco down to Virginia, we left at 3am and got there at around lunch time, 11-12?? So yep, we made good time. We stayed in Virginia for 4 to 5 days without the kids, it was a nice mini-vacation. Then the next time we went to Virginia, we stayed for a week and the kids came with us, and we went to Richie's family's get-together for July 4th and it was a lot of fun!!
NOW, other than that.. what has been up with us? Dwayne's drivers license was stupidly suspended due to Child support problems but now we got it worked out and Dwayne got his drivers license back. Derrick had started going to Rochester School for the Deaf at the end of April, 3 half-days a week. Derrick has been doing very well. Derrick is now 21 months old. Dominic had turned 4 years old. We had a party for Dominic, Bob and Robb. We had so much fun! The party was hosted at the Rand Lodge at Powder Mills Park. We gave Dominic a battery-powered 4 wheeler!! Dominic LOVES it!! Dawson will turn 7 years old next month (August). We aren't sure what we will do for his party, maybe host it at one of the parks again and rent a pavilion again. We'll see. We are also in the process of completing a house purchase, we "bought" a house in Wayland/Dansville.. It's a three bedroom two full bathrooms doublewide home with two car garages and a mudroom in between the house and garage. It sits on a 3.38 acre land. It's in a country setting and I truly do love it there. It's in a nice location, unfortunately it does not have high speed internet access YET but I hope it will come to us soon but as of right now.. I will settle for either HughesNet or WildBlue (satellite high speed internet).
I also got a new car. Dwayne got a new truck. We now have a Jeep Cherokee (the one from Richie) .. a Chevrolet Lumina 4 doors car that we traded in with Dwayne's green Chevy truck.. and a Chevrolet 1500 Diesel truck.. We're pretty much satisfied with our vehicles for now.
Hey.. You know what? It's time for me to learn the family secret (cooking fudge) so I ll add more later on and I will go ahead and post it in case I lose this post later.. I would be so mad I don't want to type it all over again LOL :) Keep u guys posted later!!!

| HEY HEY.. I'm back once again hopefully I'm gonna finish this time. I typed a pretty long entry but I was a LONGG way from being done then I left my laptop then came back only to find out the internet browser had closed so I lost everything I typed?? Forget it! I decided to wait til other day when I felt motivated to do it again.. NOW I'm gonna try again!! PLEASE PLEASE be warned that this is an EXTREMELY EXTREMELY LONGGGG entry.. enjoy reading!!
I didn't realize that its been since December 17th when I posted an entry. Well on December 18th, both of my older boys went to school. I sent the pink eye medicine off with Dominic and he was just fine. I was FRANTICALLY busyyyy packing, packing and packing that day, getting everything ready to leave for Florida that night. We wanted to leave that night so it's easier on us. We had planned all along to leave on December 18th but as time neared, it just happened that a HUGE AND UGLY snow storm was supposed to strike New York on December 19th. So it was truly a good thing that we were planning on leaving on December 18th. Dwayne and I drove to Radio Shack to buy a GPS (they were running a GPS sale) and then we got everything packed up on the van. We all ate a very nice dinner.. After that, we said our good byes and hopped into the van and finally got on the road at 7pm. Then when we just left our driveway, we looked at the Gas Gauge and were like.. OH NO!! we forgot to fill up the gas tank so we stopped for gas in Wayland then FINALLLLLY were on our wayyyy down to Florida! We drove for two hours.. The kids played in the back, Derrick fell asleep fast. We arrived in Pennsylvania. It took us around 2 and half hours to get through Pennsylvania. The roads were beautiful and DRY! We entered Maryland. I started feeling quite tired so Dwayne told me it was okay to go ahead and sleep so I got myself some shut eyes. I woke up in Virginia, fell asleep again and then felt pretty awake and Dwayne was telling me that we were in North Carolina!! It was at around 4am when we had arrived in North Carolina. It was a wonderful feeling, to be on OUR WAYYY!! Dwayne went ahead and drove us to Dillion, South Carolina where we decided to stop for the day. We stayed at this motel called America's Best Value Inn. It cost around 55 dollars for the day. We got settled in the motel room and Dwayne went straight to bed. The kids unwinded, and PLAYYYED all day!! I just relaxed for most of the day and watched the kids play. I was enjoying the beautiful weather in South Carolina. It was so SUNNY and beautiful. DRY! Then later the kids and I were getting hungry so I woke Dwayne up to ask him to see if he wanted to go out to eat. He did. We all cleaned ourselves up and got ready to leave, hopped into the van and drove to Shoney's for lunch. When we got there, we noticed that on the side of their land there was this HUGE rental moving truck (like one of those U Haul trucks) parked there with A LOTT of stuff in the yard waiting to be sold. It was like a yard sale. We went there to check it out, Dwayne saw several pans that he definitely WANTED to buy, kids found toys they wanted to buy. I did not find anything I WANTED to buy, I felt that most of the things there were nothing but JUNK! So the grand total was really $45 but Dwayne negotiated with the guy to bring the price down to $30 and he took it! We were happy and put everything back in the van and proceeded to go in Shoney's to eat. We decided to get the buffet because it was just $4.99 per adults and $3.99 for kids and we figured that it is as cheap as it gets for eating out. We looked at the lunch buffet and it looked ok-ok. We were hoping for a bit more but we decided to work with what they offered and WOW we found a lot of food treasures in that buffet so we got a great deal out of it. After that, we drove around Dillion, SC exploring the area and playing with the GPS. We stopped at a store to buy food for the hotel room so we don't have to eat out again later that day. We went back to the hotel room and enjoyed ourselves. We all watched TV and then got ready for BED. We slept all night til around 5am. Dwayne woke up and took a shower, then woke me up to take a shower. We got the kids up and we all ate cereal for breakfast then we got everything in the van and started driving at 7am. We drove pretty much the WHOLE WAY without stopping for anything but gas. We entered Georgia!! We told the kids, "THIS IS THE LAST STATE BEFORE FLORIDA!! YAYYY!!" They were EXCITED! Then finally we had entered Florida at around 12:30am. We decided to stop at the next McDonald's with a PlayLand so the kids could eat and unwind by playing. The kids LOVED playing there because it was SO WARM outside they did not need their jackets anymore. I had fun watching them. We stayed there for quite a while then finally got back on the road. We drove for another 4 to 5 hours then finally arrived in Port Richey and saw our old houses where we lived at while we were living in Florida. We were surprised to see that most of the things about the houses haven't changed much. After that, we went to see our friend Joe Ostrowski. It was GREAT to see him again!! We talked for a bit then we went ahead and went to my sister's house. The kids were awfully grouchy by then so I decided to walk down to visit my sweet Daddy who lives down the road from my sister's house. I had a good time talking to him and my step-mom, Cathy. After like 1 or 2 hours I was getting a bit tired from the trip so I decided to go back home and rest. Dwayne went out to get dinner for all of us then we all fell asleep very well for the night. The next morning, I woke up and you know what the FIRST thing I did?? I went outside and took several deep breaths of the very WARM Floridian air!! *sighs* I really do miss it! We did so many things. We went out, explored the area. Sometimes we would just go out and just drive around. Enjoy the sights. We went out to eat at restaurants that we missed a lot. We saw friends. Tressie Mitchell & Tim Garton and their two kids. Tressie was pregnant with their third child at the time. We also saw Toni & John Gouger, formerly known as Toni Rydberg-Miller. My mom finally got into town on Sunday! We had a GREAT time!! I was so happy to see my Mommy!!! My step-dad who I do also call "Dad" too. I have two fathers, one is my real father, he lives in Florida and a step-father whom I also call Dad and he's married to my Mom. My sister and her husband were also on their way back home and were supposed to arrive on CHRISTMAS MORNING!!! But nope, that did not happen. They were stuck out west, there was a huge and ugly snowstorm out there and they were telling everyone that their tires has to be chained up (drive on chained tires). She did not want to do that so she decided to stay there until the snow storm passed but it was not passing!! So then Christmas day came, and my sister's company FINALLY agreed to fly them back home so they finally arrived on December 26th. We told the kids that it is FINALLY CHRISTMAS EVE on the 26th (they do not know the difference if it were a day or two later! Heh) My real dad went down to Tampa to pick them up from the airport which was SOOO EXTREMELY NICE OF HIM! Because one of us were going to pick them up but he decided he was going to do it. On the 27th we CELEBRATED Christmas with everyone, including my Dad and step-mom, opened presents and etc. We had so much fun. Everyone was happy! Then on that day (Saturday the 27th) my sister took my Mommy and I to her friend's nail & hair salon so we could get a Pedicure! I had NEVER experienced getting a pedicure! It was quite an experience. The lady had my feet in the bubbling water and then she filed my feet (ooo that tickled! LOL) she put lotion and some rough sand-paper feely lotion on then cleaned me up and let me rest my feet in the boiling water again then she took my feet out and polished my toenails PINK (I chose the color) and then painted two hearts (I, again, chose the design) on each big toes! I LOVED the Pedicure experience!! It was really nice! I watched my Mom have her turn having the Pedicure done and then it was my sister's turn too!! They also had their hair cut too. After that, we went back home. Dwayne and I went out shopping at the pawnshops looking for a *gasp!* Laptop!!!!!! We stopped at several Pawn Shops and some were expensive, until we stopped at the pawn shop that I remembered always sold things for cheap. It wasn't far from my old home in Florida. Dwayne went in while I sat in the van and waited. He came out and said he saw three laptops for up to $350 so I went in and liked one laptop that I saw. I tried to offer $300 for it and he wouldn't take the offer. I offered $325, he thought about it for a while and said he would take it ONLY if it's in cash. Dwayne went to the nearest ATM machine and took money out and paid for it! WHOO!! I was so excited with this laptop that I am currently using. We went to the nearest McDonald's where they had WiFi and we got online and played with the laptop and LOVED IT!!! We went back home, my parents and sister & her husband had gone out for the night. We just chilled at home and watched a movie on TV. The next morning we all woke up and started getting ready to go to Daytona Beach so we could visit the Ponce De Leon LightHouse. That light house is the tallest light house in Florida. We all hurriedly got ready and then hopped into the cars and we stopped at the gas station so my parents and my sister could get gas, we had already filled up our tank the day before, smart me eh?? Then we drove for three hours to get there. We arrived at the light house and we were EXCITED!! I couldn't wait to walk up the steps. We all got ourselves ready, explored the Light House store and then went ahead and went up the stairs. We were okay at first. I was actually a bit nervous about Derrick being in the Baby "back pack" so I made sure he was strapped in COMPLETELY so he couldn't climb out. I was so terrified because the steps were a bit small and steep, and right in the middle of the building there's hollow space so if you bent over the stair railing you could fall down, all the way down!!! YIKES! No thanks! So that's why I made sure Derrick was completely strapped in. We climbed up and up and up the stairs, and then around half way through, Dominic started to get tired so I had to carry him for the rest of the way. Dawson also did not like the stairs too much, he kept feeling so SICK because he kept looking down, I told him to keep looking UP but it did not work too well for him. I guess he has some kind of freight for heights. My mom and sister helped him up the way. We climbed 203 steps to get to the top of the light house. We absolutely LOVED the feeling of the breeze at the top of the light house and I loved the Atlantic Ocean view!! It was such a peaceful feeling. Unfortunately, I cannot say that it was the same feeling for Dawson. He did not like it too much that he decided to sit down most of the time while we were walking around and enjoying ourselves at the top of the light house. I'm just surprised because he is only six years old, I did not realize that kids that young could be scared of height. We took pictures!! I haven't developed that film though, I will have to get it developed soon. I was also very pleased with myself because I was able to walk all that way up the stairs without any trouble. I mean, yes, of course, I was quite out of shape but I was still able to do it. My sister said she couldn't do it the very first time, she actually started feeling sick and it was getting too hard for her so she went back down, then the 2nd time she went she was able to go all the way to the top. Then when we all went, that was her third trip. After we were done, we decided to go ahead and walk down the stairs and it was pretty steep!! The walkway was pretty narrow at the top, and as we went down and down, it got a bit wider and wider, not too much wider though but it was better than at the very top. We all went our separate ways because they were getting hungry and we wanted to stay a bit longer to explore the light house museums and etc. After we were done exploring the museums, we looked at things that the light house store had and bought a couple of things.. A magnet that says "I CLIMBED 203 STEPS AT PONCE DE LEON!!" and Dwayne bought I think two very cute dragons. They were adorable! So then we left and drove around, trying to find some place to eat dinner at. We FINALLY decided on Checker's and ordered our food. They did not offer very good service. They were LOUSY!! They gave us some wrong orders! OMIGOSH!! I was frustrated. I truly was this close to saying, THAT'S IT!! WE'RE LEAVING!! But I was lucky enough to have Dwayne be there by my side to say that it’s just not worth it to get all worked up over something so simple like this, heh! J So yeah.. Then I got a text from my sister saying that they found a hotel and that they were running out of rooms that are the cheapest so we had to hurry ourselves over to the hotel then we ended up not going with the cheaper rooms! LOL We got an ocean view room with kitchenette in it!! We enjoyed our hotel room! We played with the laptop some more with the wireless internet that the hotel offered. We also went swimming in their oh-so-very-GREEN pool!! When we first got into the pool, we noticed that the water looked slightly greenish. We were like, UGH!! But then we thought, what the heck?! We do go swimming in lakes & oceans and it is not like we can see the bottom either! So we went ahead and swam in the pool. We all had so much fun!! The kids FINALLLLLY went to bed at MIDNIGHT!! The next morning I woke up and was feeling a bit upset because the sky was so bright. I was sooo looking forwards to watching the sun rise for the very first time. I contacted my sister and she was like Um the sun hasn’t risen! It doesn’t rise until 7:30 and I was like, Oh? That late? Because I was kinda expecting for it to be at like 6am or sometime like that but oops, my bad, sissy. It was around 7:10 at the time so I woke Dwayne up and we both watched the sunrise together. It was a beautiful sight. It was partly cloudy but it didn’t really change how beautiful it looked as the sun rose. It was both of our first time to watch the sun rise from the Atlantic Ocean. The kids and I went for a walk with my Mom and Sister and Brother-in-law on the beach. Dawson and Dominic and plenty of fun playing in the water. I told them to taste the water and they were like, EW!! Dawson still remembers how the water tasted from when we were living in Florida. Dominic did not remember as we moved back to New York when Dominic was just 17 months old. He was still a baby. Derrick did NOT like the sand!! Didn’t want to stand on the sand!! So my mom and I tried to console him by letting him touch the sand from time to time until he got used to it and held our hands and we walked around, letting him practice walking. He still haven’t walked and he was 15 months old at the time and STILL not walking! Heh. That’s fine. I was not in a hurry for him to start walking anyway. We slowly introduced Derrick to the ocean water. He didn’t like it at first but then later he got used to it after a long while of slowly introducing the water,. J After that, Dwayne and I got our things together and we put everything in the van and then we all went out to eat breakfast at Friendly’s! YUMMY!! Dominic and Derrick had the most COOLEST breakfast of us all!! They had pancakes with smiley face made with Bananas and strawberries and whipped cream!! Pretty cool, eh? They LOVED their breakfast. J After that we decided to just go ahead and go back to New Port Richey while everyone else stayed in Daytona Beach. My sister and her husband and my mom stopped at the Space museum somewhere on the way back to New Port Richey. My dad had already gone back to New Port Richey the night before so he could go golfing with a good friend of his’ that morning. We went to visit our friend Toni and John Gouger. We were meeting John for the very first time that night. He seemed like a very neat guy. We had so much fun chatting, but it was short-lived. Dwayne was showing off his new BB Gun that we had purchased at the Flea Market a few days earlier. So John wanted to show Dwayne John’s BB Gun too, and then JJ (Toni’s son) wanted to experiment with the gun and a BB “bullet” shot through John’s hand and Toni had to take John to the Emergency Room at Community Hospital. OH BOY!! It was an accident, a stupid one. Few days later we decided to go ahead and go to our friend’s (Tim & Tressie) house for two nights. We had fun chilling with them each night. We just chatted and caught up on news. Chatted some more. It was a nice and relaxing time. We also went to Chuck E Cheese so the kids could have a lot of fun. After that, we went back home and we ate at Golden Corral for dinner. Then we decided to go to Toni and John’s house for New Year’s Eve. We met a lot of deaf people at their house and they all were very nice people. We had a GREATTT time!!!! We had also purchased some fireworks and shot off some fireworks at Toni’s home. It was such a beautiful show, we had bought good fireworks that went all the way up and busted out beautiful colored lights. We chatted and chatted until pretty much I think 3 or 4 in the morning! That was a FIRST for us because we are always going home early because of the kids but the kids fell asleep so we figured that it was safe for us to chit-chat until Derrick started crying because he was overly tired and did not have a comfortable place to sleep. We were VERY exhausted anyway so we decided to just go home anyway and fell asleep pretty fast!! My mom and dad decided to leave on January 1st in the morning so they could golf somewhere in South Carolina before going home. We decided to leave on the 2nd. Our VERY GOOD friend, MJ Collier came over to see us. We caught up on news and had a great time. It was nice to FINALLY see MJ after a LONG time of not seeing him! J Toni asked us to see if we were interested in meeting with them and some other deafies for dinner at a Chinese buffet restaurant and we were like, SURE! And we went to meet them for dinner. That Chinese buffet was DELICIOUS!! It had been established SHORTLY after we moved back to New York. After we were done, we decided to go home and chat with MJ some more. I was busy getting our things together as it was our last night in Florida. I packed most things up. I washed some clothes. We cleaned out the van to make it ready for the trip back to New York. We went to bed that night, we were so EXHAUSTED. In the morning, Dwayne went to get the radiator flushed to get it ready for the trip back to New York because the fluid in the radiator was pretty much brown and not safe for traveling in COLD weather. When we had packed everything into the van, we stopped at my Dad’s house to say good bye before we left Florida. I sure do miss him and my step mom very much now. We do talk online but it’s just not the same, you know? Anyway then we went out to dinner at Barnhill’s buffet, we had a good dinner. That was when we found out about the death of John Travolta’s son. We felt so bad for his family. They must’ve been going through a terrible time as it is the holidays. It’s a very hard loss, for you to outlive your children. I hope that will never happen to me, but you never know what the future holds. That thought always scare me, that I would outlive any of my children. So yeah, then we went to see Joe one last time to say good bye then we started going on our way back to New York at 7:30pm. Driving during the night was pretty easy then we decided to stop at around 8am at Fredericksburg, Virginia for breakfast at Shoney’s. I LOVE breakfast buffets!! TOO GOOD!! J Then we decided to rest for the day at Super 8 Motel. Dwayne slept most of the day until it was dinner time. We decided to eat at the international buffet where they had all sorts of food available for tasting. The only thing I was disappointed about that restaurant was that they were pretty expensive to begin with, 12 dollars per adult and like 6 to 7 dollars for children (Dawson and Dominic), Derrick was free because he was just a baby and then if we wanted to eat crab legs, we would have to pay 2.99 per pound. I was like, “$2.99/pound in ADDITION to the buffet cost?” The lady nodded. Uh, forget it. I was kinda looking forwards to eating crab legs but forget it. That price was just not worth it. We ended up enjoying the food that they had to offer. They also had the Mongolian buffet where we got to choose raw food onto our plate and pour juices next to the buffet and watch the man cook our food to perfection. J The food was YUMMY!! We explored the area some then went back to the hotel room and relaxed for the night. We left very EARLY the next morning, pretty much at around 6 to 7am. We drove through Maryland then to Pennsylvania. We ate at McDonald’s for lunch and the kids played at the PlayLand then we went on our way to FINALLY get home at around 2pm on the 4th of January. We were EXHAUSTED from the trip but it was good to be back home at the same time. We were happy that the trip to Florida was possible. MJ asked me if the price was still very high at like $4 a gallon, would we have come to Florida during Christmas break. We said “No.” We wouldn’t have been able to afford it. We are happy that the gas price went down.
So yeah, that is the story of our vacation in Florida!! I am FINALLY DONE typing about the vacation in Florida!! YAY!! FINALLY!! Heh. Not too much has happened since we returned from Florida. Dale flew to New Mexico on January 15th I believe and decided to stay there for good. His friend Joey offered him a room for rent and Dale decided to take it. I thought it was good for him. I am very very certain that we have MORE news to share but I am kinda tired and I think it is enough for now. I might add more tomorrow or in a few days (hopefully I do remember). Leave messages or whatever if you wish. I look forwards to hearing your comments. *HUGS* Ya'll!!

| Hi Ya'll!! I got this in one forward and thought it would be good to share this information with you all!! :)
Did you know bleach was invented in the late 40's? It's chlorine, folks! And it was used to kill our troops. Peroxide was invented during WWI in the 20's. It was used to save and help cleanse the needs of our troops and hospitals.
Please think about this: 1. Take one capful (the little white cap that comes with the bottle) and hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it out. (I do it when I bathe.) No more canker sores, and your teeth will be whiter without expensive pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash.
example: Arm & Hammer baking soda & PEROXIDE
2. Let your toothbrushes soak in a cup of peroxide to keep them free of germs.
3. Clean your counters and table tops with peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when you wipe, or spray it on the counters.
4. After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour peroxide on it to kill salmonella and other bacteria.
5. I had fungus on my feet for years until I sprayed a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water on them (especially the toes) every night and let dry.
6. Soak any infections or cuts in 3% peroxide for five to ten minutes several times a day. My husband has seen gangrene that would not heal with any medicine but was healed by soaking in peroxide.
7. Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water and keep it in every bathroom to disinfect without harming your septic system like bleach or most other disinfectants will.
8. Tilt your head back and spray into nostrils with your 50/50 mixture whenever you have a cold, plugged sinus. It will bubble and help to kill the bacteria. Hold for a few minutes, and then blow your nose into a tissue.
9. If you have a terrible toothache and cannot get to a dentist right away, put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.
10. And of course, if you like a natural look to your hair, spray the 50/50 solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through. You will not have the peroxide-burnt blonde hair like the hair dye packages but more natural highlights if your hair is a light brown, faddish, or dirty blonde. It also lightens gradually, so it's not a drastic change.
11. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your bath to help rid boils, fungus, or other skin infections.
12. You can also add a cup of peroxide instead of bleach to a load of whites in your laundry to whiten them. If there is blood on clothing, pour it directly on the soiled spot. Let it sit for a minute, then rub it and rinse with cold water. Repeat if necessary.
13. I use peroxide to clean my mirrors. There is no smearing, which is why I love it so much for this.
This information really woke me up. I hope you gain something from it, too. | | |
| Hiii!!! I know it's been a while. I was doing sooo well for a while there then I stopped completely. Life has been going COMPLETELY crazy!! Maybelle came into town from California so we all could be by David's side because the doctors were saying that David could die at anytime. Well we were on our way to the hospital on November 24th to discuss our future goals of what we hope to happen for David (nursing home transfer, or go home or whatnot). When we had arrived at the hospital, Patty (my mother in law) was telling us that David said he is ready to go TODAY. We were like WHAT?!! So we talked to him and he confirmed that Patty was saying, that he was ready to die that day. Oh, believe me, our hearts were BROKEN.. But we had to respect his wishes and to let him go. He took off the oxygen mask and passed away an hour and half after the oxygen mask was taken off at 1:10pm. He did not even want to put the mask back on, I do feel he had a peaceful passing but he did struggle to breathe for some time there. It was my very FIRST time to actually see someone die like that. Someone being soo alive, talking to dying. It's just something I don't really want to talk about in depth so I am going to leave it at this. At least, David is at peace now. We had the funeral (calling hours) on November 26th from 4 to 7pm at Merton Kays Funeral Home, a nice number of people came which I totally appreciate. David looked so good at the funeral home, he actually looked happy. We really dooo TRULY miss him. Things aren't the same without him here.
Other than that, what have we been up to? Thanksgiving!!! Dwayne and I took the three kids to my mom's house for Thanksgiving dinner and we had a ball!! It was really nice. We saw my sister Karrie and Daryl (her husband) at my Mom's for Thanksgiving, what a NICE TREAT!! =D Then we had another Thanksgiving dinner later that Sunday so we ALL could be together for Thanksgiving at Dwayne's mom's house. It was really nice that Maybelle could join us this year as we were not really expecting for her to join us this year since she lives in California but while she was here for David, she was able to be here for our Thanksgiving dinner and our family's CLOSE friends that we actually feel that are family is Tony and Robb, also joined us for dinner also.
The kids have been doing great. Derrick has been trying to stand up on his own without pulling up on things, he would put his legs up and stand up all by himself. He is trying to learn to walk now but haven't mastered that skill yet. Believe this or not, Derrick is now 14 months and 21 days old, nearly 15 months old and he still haven't grown a tooth!! Ha ha, I think that's sooo ADORABLE. I LOVE that toothless grin baby look!!
I don't think I posted it on here but I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY STUPID STUPID MISTAKE!!! I was using my beautiful Canon PowerShot SD1100 camera, it was a beautiful PINK camera that I got for myself for my birthday. I took some pictures that day then we were on our way to the hospital to visit David, we had stopped at the Valero gas station to get more gas, I stepped out of the van and then got back into my van and left. I didn't think to look for my camera til MUCHH later and realized that my camera was GONE!!! We looked FRANTICALLY all over for it and it was no where to be found, I was soo UPSET. We went back to the Valero gas station only to find out that someone TOOK IT and didn't even let the cash register person know about it and whatever. I felt it was sooo RUDE of that person to just take something, thinking that they had a right to it. I know that person had the feeling, "Finders Keepers" but if that person were me, I would've felt soo GUILTY about taking it.
Dominic has been out of school sick for two days, yesterday and today due to Pink Eye Infection. Dominic will go back to school again tomorrow (Thursday) but then we're leaving for our Road Trip down to Florida for Christmas Break!! YAY!! We can hardly wait!! =D We do kinda wish we could leave TODAY but we have to stick to schedule, heh!! We're going to have dinner at home at around 4pm then leave at 5pm. So today we have to clean up the van and get it ready. I need to pack up and make sure we do not forget ANYTHING. I also need to clean up our rooms to make sure it's NEAT before we leave so when we come back there's no mess to look forward to. We may stop for one or two nights at a motel/hotel somewhere on the way. I am hoping it's just one night so we can save ourselves money but if we need to stop two times then so be it. We want to drive ALL NIGHT while the kids are sleeping and then continue driving for a little bit more and maybe stop sometime after lunch somewhere maybe we will be in Virginia or even possibly North Carolina by then. Who knows. =D
Well I think I have typed long enough so I will close with this for now.

| HEY! Dwayne and I went to lunch at Charlie's in Canandaigua today then went back to Wal-Mart to return the printer that was broken (by the way, it was a Kodak ESP 3 printer, DON'T BUY IT!) and got my money back, then went to get my contact lense exam, it was a breeze.. The doctor was soo nice!! I got a pair of contact lenses and I was gettin' used to it. I am loving the contact lenses. It's really nice not to wear glasses. We shopped in Wal-Mart for a bit. Bought three boxes of 1,000 Craft Sticks each box. Awesome eh? We stopped at the Wizard of Clay in Bristol, it was my first time to go in there and wow.. I loved the beautiful pots and etc that the people in there made!! It was BEAUTIFUL!! Then we went ahead and drove back home, saw Maybelle on the way back home then went home. I cleaned up, did laundry and we had dinner (marinated chicken & au gratin potatoes) and now I'm just about to get the kids ready for bed. Dwayne and Dale are working on making something with the craft sticks.. I'm glad that they're having fun!! YAYies!! Well.. Nite-Nite everyone! | | |
